Kleuterpret Kids provide a safe and friendly environment where all kids are welcome age 4 months to 5 years, since 2013 in Lyttelton Centurion.
We follow a CAPS outcome based curriculum and our priority is learning through play, exploring, curiosity and fun activities.
We have English and Afrikaans classes to ensure that each Kleuterpret Kid gets the most out of their early education journey.

Our weekly activities are themed based and tailored to the interests of our preschool learners. Each week, we feature a fun activity such as dress-up days, puppet shows, or make-and-bake sessions.
We offer two play areas designed for different age groups to ensure a safe and age-appropriate environment for all children.
Your child's safety is our top priority. All our staff members are trained in First Aid, and we have CCTV surveillance, armed response, and emergency medical assistance readily available.
We offer daily meals that are freshly prepared using the finest seasonal produce. In addition to breakfast and lunch, we provide a variety of sandwiches, fresh fruit, ample water, and occasional sweet treats for snack time.
We are open year-round, except on public holidays, weekends, and during our well-deserved break in December.

Engaging in daily fun activities is vital for fostering essential skills in preschoolers while creating a joyful and playful learning environment.
These activities not only promote cognitive development but also encourage social interaction and emotional growth. By integrating engaging and interactive experiences into their daily routines, we ensure that our Kleuterpret Kids are motivated to explore, learn, and thrive in an atmosphere rich with curiosity and excitement.
Every Friday, we host our weekly Fun Activity in which the entire school participates. Some examples include treasure hunts, puppet shows, cooking or baking sessions, face painting, “bring your bicycle to school” days and so much more.
At Kleuterpret Kids, we believe that each individual child should have the unique opportunity to explore and learn through the power of play. Outdoor playtime is an essential aspect of our daily routine, allowing children to connect with nature and engage in physical activity. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we make it a priority to apply sunscreen to the little ones before they head outside, protecting their sensitive skin from harmful UV rays. Additionally, we encourage our young explorers to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, ensuring they remain energized and ready for adventure.
Learning at Kleuterpret Kids encompasses a variety of engaging activities including reading books, imaginative play, educational toys, sensory experiences using play dough and diverse textures that stimulate all the senses.
Key components of our program involve problem-solving, an introduction to math, listening exercises, show and tell, the development of fine motor skills through cutting, tearing, pasting, colouring. Memory games, threading, puzzles, storytelling, and learning new rhymes and songs. Children also have the opportunity to explore music, discover nature, and investigate exciting preschool themes.
Additionally, we focus on physical balance through exercise, midline crossing, hand-eye coordination, visual & auditive perception and spatial awareness, all while ensuring that every activity is filled with learning fun.

We explore by using various arts and craft for our creativity activity for the week.

Music is an integral part of our learning experience, allowing us to enjoy playing musical instruments, exploring new songs, and creating opportunities for dance and games.

Mathematics plays a vital role in fostering critical thinking and enhancing problem-solving skills among preschoolers. From an early age, engaging with mathematical concepts encourages young children to explore various ways to approach challenges, think analytically, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Through playful activities and interactive learning experiences, preschoolers can build a strong foundation in math that not only supports their academic growth but also cultivates essential skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
